I am looking to upgrade my boat to a 2000 225 H.O. Johnson carberated motor. Is there any reasons that I should not buy this year/type motor? Are there any known problems or things to take a look at? The motor has been rebuilt by a trustworthy dealer and comes with a 90 day warantee. I dont know much about this year motor and just looking for some information and opinions on them. The motor is out of state so I dont have the model number in front of me. Just in case it maters, I currently have a 1989 evinrude 200 hp that needs to be rebuilt (still not done yet) on a 1989 stratos 201 pro with a 6 inch jackplate. Thanks Guys.....Jon

Make sure the carb bolts and intake bolts are TIGHT,,, that was a factory problem..speaking from $3500.00 experience!! The dealer should have this knowledge!!
