I decided to change my water pump and gaskets. Everything was going nice until lower unit re-install. The problem is, when I get the lower unit about 3/8" from being all the way in, it feels like it's binding. I watched a youtube video and it said to put it in gear prior to removing the lower unit so it would be easier to align the splines when putting it back together. I tried putting it back in neutral while the lower until had the 3/8" gap and obviously something isn't right. Any suggestions??
