Hi I have a 2000 150 ficht that wont start.
Fault code 46 Intermittent loss of sync detected.

What is "Intermittent loss of sync detected"

Code 16 indicates your CPS is either damaged, out of adjustment or bad. O'yeah, CPS meaning crankshaft position sensor. If it's bad, damaged or disconnected the mtr will never start

Hi the TPS has 146 ohm and I have rpm readings (on computer diag and instrument)

The diagnostic shows no active faults but showing in red check cps sync.

The service manual I have shows .045-.055 in air gap for the CPS. It also says the resistance should be ( 350-450 ohms ). Is it possible the CPS is shorted out ?

I just reread your first statement again, "intermittent loss of sync".
With the ohm readings you have on the CPS it could be it's shorted internally.
