My 2000 100hp 4strke idles horribly. Compression is 1-160 2-160 3-180 4-160
The carb's could be dirty, but would that make it idle rough?

Absolutely, water and dirt in carb can cause lots of problems. Especially with todays E-Fuels. If you don't have a water seperating fuel filter installed, and change it at least yearly, I suggest you get one. The filter is cheaper than a carb kit for one carb.

How about the compression is it bad that it is 160 160 180 160?

looks like you may need a good decarb.
dunno about compression numbers I dont do compression tests on 4 stroke outboards only leakdown tests.
but consider this, that motor is actually 4 motors that share a common crank.
means the carb passages are very very small and it takes nothing to clog the pilot fuel jets.
