Initially, on several trips the oil injection alarm signal sounded with a single beep beep(not a series of intermittent beep beeps) I would shut it down, crank it back up and continue to run with no alarm sounding. Recently, every now and then, the alarm system would make a chirping sound. If I continue to run the sound goes into a constant beep sound (the overheat alarm). When I shut it down to check it out and crank it back up in about a minute or so, the alarm does not sound and I have run 5 to 10 miles afterwards on each occasion that this has happened. The only thing that I've noticed, is that each time the alarm has gone off, I was running into the wind with slightly choppy seas.
