200 hp trim problems

I have a 98 200hp that I bought with no trim motor on the pump I bought a new trim motor and pump assembly and the trim goes up and down but when it gets to the trim rods it acts like it's all way down down and sounds like its under alot of pressure... not sure what to check.

did you ever figure out what's causing this? there's a check valve somewhere that is suppose to prevent those rams from extending when under way. seems like it might be related to your issue.

yeah it was a bad pump they sent me a new one
