Everybody is getting killed on fuel..........

A 200 hp motor will burn about 20 gallons an hour at wide open. The Stratos should be pretty easy to push so your cruise should be OK fro what it is. If the motor is running right and it's set up right.

I have a carb'd 150 on a flats boat. At 25 mph (about 2500 rpm) I burn less than 6 gallons an hour.

Yup - but isn't that why you bought it? :D

(anybody can buy gas at $2/gal. It takes a real man to pay $4.50...)

Haven't pulled the trigger on the purchase yet. Trying to talk myself into it. : )

You obviously like the boat or you wouldn't be struggling with the decision. From that we'll assume you have visions of good times with family & friends. At some point you'll realize it's not so much about miles per gallon.

It's all about smiles per gallon. (Was that a gunshot I just heard?)

gas is going down, now try talk yourself out of it.
What does it cost to take 4 people alpine skiing, same thing, its about quality of life.

we work because we play.
If you're not goin to buy the boat you may as well quit your job.
