200 evinrude information

I have recently bought a 200 evinrude serial #G2265989 (from freeze plug looking thing) and know nothing about this motor. Can someone tell me what year this thing is or any information from the serial number???

I believe you should find it on a plate located on the transom mounting bracket.<br /><br />Cheers<br />Mike
