$2,000 debit cards for each person, $198,000/person to the bureaucracy. Paperwork is expensive! Then it all gets recycled into toilet paper. :(

Got no problem with that DD... except for the local scumbags in Houston trying to welch in on the deal themselves.

But, $200,000.00??? For what??

Quick send a Hurricane to Ohio... I know how to use $200,000.00!

kagee, $200,000/person for shoveling **** in Louisiana...which is just my clever way of saying, pump out the sewage, clean up, disinfect, clear out the gangbangers, rebuild, meanwhile you got to protect, feed, clothe, house and move people around (airlines ain't donating all that fuel). yada yada yada.

Depends where ya live. Around here you can get a 3 bed room house for less than $500 a month. If your willing to settel on a trailer home it's more like $250 to $300 a month. Big differance between Long Island and Upstate South Carolina.

Well supposedly it was like $1,600,000.00 per family effected in WTC. Bottom line most of the money goes to big operations like building owners and the contractors doing the work with a little here and there for paybacks.

thats what I would like to see, all the flooded areas to be decontaminated and razed and allowed to return to swamp. in return each verifiable head of household gets a check for 150K and a new car, domestically built of course. would save the taxpayers a mint, would clean up the environment, and would prevent a repeat of this event.

Pat them if you want to, but please take them from Texas and move them to NC.

Hey wait a minute. If I get this job next week, I WILL be shoveling sh*t in Louisiana. And you know what? I'd rather be shoveling crap in LA than in a war zone..........uuuhhhhhhh....oh well..never mind.

Re: $200,000 per person????

hahahah nah we leave them in texas. yall need the extra taxpayers:). actually with 150K they may be able to buy a 2 bedroom town house in my area.
I just wonder how many would burn through it with colt 45 and kools and be on welfaare in a year again. some would buy a house and relocate some would relocate and be broke in a year. but from a strictly economic stand point it will be cheaper to buy out the residents of the flooded area and allow it to return to marsh land.

Rodbolt and dakk1, you guys know better than to expect something that makes scents. Part of NO is not below sea level. Rebuild it and move on.
