2 water inlets?

Why does my LARSON cabrio 240 year 2007 have two water inlets on the back. I can see one has a spicket and leads the hot water heater and the other is a port which leads to the holding tank. Why would this have a hose leading to the holding tank and have a separate pump out hole on the side of the boat?

Yeah I was voice texting. That was bad. Please review now with pic added. Circled pic is the inlet with hose leading INTO waste holding tank. Not to be mistaken for hold on side of boat labeled waste.

ok, that helps a bit more "IF" I understand it correctly.

Your talking about the back of your boat and not the back of the motor or something else

If correct

The hot water most like also Tee's to the fresh water tank, and if so that inlet fills the tank

The holding tank inlet is actually an outlet. The cap is removed and a fitting is installed. Then a hose connected from a dock side pump and it sucks all the tank out.

The port circled has a clear ribs hose that goes directly into the holding tank, not the hot water heater.

Your not helping, editing your post each time something is brought up that is not showing. Nothing wrong with adding as we go, folks forget stuff all the time

The one with the ribs and that cap is to be able to pump out the holding tank and is for pump out

The water heater is from this comment.

Not seeing what your seeing, I'll still go with the other fitting on the side goes to fill the water tank

Yep if it says waste it is a pump out for the head, don't put water in it unless you want to pay to have it pumped out...

it’s got the hole on side labeled waste. But in back of boat it says water. But when you when you dip your head below deck you see it lead to the holding tank. Just learning the boat. So there is two different ways stuff can come in and or out tank

Just guessing but would be pretty sure it only looks like they both go to holding

Yes. They def both go to the holding tank. I’m just trying to figure out why there would be two. Maybe to flush? Like fill it up as it’s sucked out?

I assume you have a fresh water holding tank so you must have a fill cap for it, the water heater is also connected to the fresh water tank hopefully..

I figured it out the spigot end leads directly to the hot water heater. The circled water inlet leads to fresh water. the confusion was that I did not see that the freshwater is actually a separate tank but right next to the waste holding tank. this was the confusion I wasn't able to convey to everyone. the whole thing started from me not realizing I was actually looking at two separate tanks and mixing up which hoses were going where.
