Well if you want input. 2 Strokes require more maintance, they're louder, they burn oil, they annoy tree huggers in california, but they're crazy fun and alot of people enjoy modding them, yamaha makes some of the best motors, my favorite 2 stroke is the venture 1100, it's my dream craft.

4 strokes are fast, but the big ones burn alot of gas, they're quiet, and it's basically a car motor in a jet ski, talk about low maintance..Yamaha of course has great motors, we recently purchased a VX110 which is on the low side of the performance spectrum, but gets good gas mileage and still goes over 50 with a smooth stable ride. Choose what waverunner suits you, whether it be 2 or 4 stroke.

2 strokes are more fragile to operate, but provide high performance. 4 strokes are more dependable, and require less maintenance.

A 4 stroke as a rule of thumb will provide better fuel economy as well.
