2-stroke alternators?

Do 2-stroke engines have a system to keep the battery charged? I know there is a magneto for the engine but what about the battery?

Howdy, RRK.<br /><br />Only some under 10hp engines have alternators. Most over 10 do. It's an individual model thing.<br /><br />Good luck.
