I've purchased a Ultraflex B47 side mount dual stick control head, the installation seems to be pretty straight forward, but I have one question, on dual stick control there is generally a red stick and a black stick, which one is the standard for the throttle, the tendency with this model, for me, would be to set the black stick as throttle(left stick) and the red stick as shift(right stick)
Its easy to reverse this if its wrong. It doesnt have a neutral safety switch so I'm going to have to rig something up there. There is a pin on one of the cable ends that might be some kind of an interlock. The instruction are not clear on any of this. Ashamed about that because the workmanship seems to be very good. Has anyone installed one of these?

Its going on an 85 horse 1976 Johnson.

Not sure about that particular brand, but generally the shorter black knob handle is the shift, and red is throttle.

sounds like you have a twin engine controller, not the shift and throttle binnacle.

10-4 on that being a double throttle. It will work, but the advantage offered by the correct set up is that the levers are different lengths. You want to be sure not to grab the shifter on the fly mistaking it for the throttle. That could cause some "problems"
