2 Sizes Pontoons

Is it normal for one pontoon to be slightly larger than the other? I have a 20 foot Starcraft pontoon that we recently purchased. I just noticed that one pontoon seems to be a larger diameter than the other. Is that normal?

No, on a 2 tube pontoon both tubes should be identical in length and diameter. I would take measurements to make sure it is not an optical illusion.

Thanks Lawnmedic, I will measure them tomorrow to be sure, but looking at the stern it certainly appears that the port pontoon is larger than the starboard one.

If that's the case, either the factory really screwed up or the used pontoon you bought was repaired by the previous owner and they put the wrong size of tube to replace a damaged one.

Some companies will use a larger tube in the center but a 2 tube should be the same size so that is kind of odd.
