Does the '88 Yamaha Waverunner have the "safety spout" that shoots out the back or not? Also, how can you tell what year your Waverunner is? I need to figure out if it is an '87 or an '88.
last 2 digits of the hull id number are the year old yams had a rooster tali in the nozzle not like the newer ones that shoot out engine cooling water in the air, you can always add a p tube to the system if you like.
So, you mean that the rooster tail shoots out "under" the water? It doesn't shoot that stream of water into the air like the new ones? Just wanting to clarify. BTW, thanks for the reply.
the old ones had a plastic fitting in the steering nozzle using the jet thrust to make a rooster tail, the new ones pipe the water from the engine through the rear deck and aim it up in the air it really is a pain in the butt though, you can pipe the exit water from your engine and do it yourself.
