2 more things needed on the forums

New members/posters continually bring up an old post from years ago and add their problem to it. Is there a way to direct a new poster/post count under 5 to have the response directed to an area that lists rules for using a old , dead , post and clue them in so that they start their own message.

It isn't only new members. Roughly 25/75 old vs new.

With this version of VBulletin we can't get the red 90 day warning we used to have. It would be nice, but not with this forum software package.

If you remember Don S when an old post was resurrected after ignoring the red warning. Some were classic. Miss the fella.

What is the 2nd thing? The clue?

On a positive side note at least the new user did a search on their topic of interest. I never did get the websites where the veterans scold new users about asking a question that has been asked before. If not for new topics and questions the site slowly dies.
