2 gauges die at once! any idea, where to begin?

My Trim and temperature gauge have both stopped working. This is 19' Bow rider, 4.3 Merc. Any idea where to begin fixing these two guages? Thanks

Check your connections ,,ground,,and other lead,,be sure to unhook battery,,just my practice always ..My Evinrude had issues when I first bought it with all the connections...Brass and copper will get a film over ,,and have to wire brush to get a good contact..Hope thats a simple fix for you...I was worryed with mine cause all the gauges didnt work at first..But then again,,it's a 1967 Evinrude 155 sportsman...LOL!!After 38 years and still going strong...
