2 filters or 1

My boat is setup with two Racor gas w/s filter assemblies capable of 60 GPH each. The boat as twin 115's which shouldn't drink more than 30 GPH combined. My question is should I spend the money to keep both filters in service with one for each motor or save space/money and use just one? Each filter body has 2 inlets and 2 outlets and the tank also has 2 pickups. Secondly, the lines currently are setup to run from the splash well straight back to each motor. I'm considering re-routing the fuel lines and run them through the cable boot to each engine. My primary reason is this setup will allow clear access for working or walking in the splash well without possibility of snagging your feet on the fuel lines or breaking off the barb by stepping on them. As usual, all suggestions and comment are appreciated.

I would keep the two. That way if you have a problem with junk in one filter you still can get home with the other. My boat is set up this way.
