2 central NY cops killed in less then a week.

We have had two central NY cops shot and killed in less then a week. Both were investigating robberies. A jewelery store and a bank. The last time we had a cop killed was in 2004 (accidental shooting) and before that was in 1995. It seems our quiet little towns are getting more violent all the time.

To put that in perspective to me, In the history of Coleman Co. (home) we have never lost a Law officer in the line of duty. And they say us hillbillys are uncivilized?

The question is Did they catch the shooter? Will the shooter get the death penalty? I hope yes on both questions.

We only marry within our comunitys, thier are about 20 comunitys in the county, I wouldnt have dreamed of marrying someone from Novice, Coleman,Mozelle or Talpa. Why, my grandparents would have beat me to death.

Bob, In the jewelry story case one suspect was chased down shot and killed, one suspect is facing life in prison and 2 are still at large. In the bank case the cop that was killed (hit just above his vest) shot one suspect 4 times and the other suspect once or twice. Both lived.

I hope they get the death penalty! I would even volunteer to push the button. We had a "non violent" bank robbery here about three weeks ago... no one hurt Thank God.

We had a sad anniversary here in Alberta yesterday.<br />One year since four R.C.M.P. officers were shot<br />and killed in Mayerthorpe by a known cop hater.<br />Who had boasted in the past of his desire to shoot<br />police officers.<br />Then the coward shot himself.
