2.5 Tohatsu not pumping water

My 2007 2.5 tohatsu has been dormant for at least 2 yrs. Had to take the carb apart and clean. Got it
running and put water cuffs on it but no water coming out of pee hole. Just a little blue smoke. I shut it
down. Could it be that the water pump is gone, and if so is this something that can be replaced fairly easy.

In cold fresh water, you might get 3 years from a wp kit. If yours has not been serviced in over a decade, it's long overdue. Yes, it can be done by someone with ordinary mechanics tools and medium abilities. You should get a new wp kit:

Insert WD40 red cannula back and forth inside pee tube and spray an overdose of product, let penetrate. Start OB as usual, check if now pees..
