2.5/3.0 Engine Swap Flywheel Questions

I recently dropped in a rebuilt 3.0L mercruiser 140hp motor into my 19ft bowrider.

The boat is running nicely for the most part, but i'm getting a fairly strong vibration out of the motor when idling in neutral.

Is this just a function of the bigger engine, maybe the 2.5 i had previously was smoother?

I'e been thinking that I believe I might have used the 2.5L flywheel on the 3.0 motor, and that it may be causing the vibrations.

Are both motors internally or externally balanced? the 3.0 has a harmonic balancer so wouldn't I need an unbalanced flywheel?

Ayuh,.... The flywheel is Not yer problem, both motors use the same flywheels,...

when i was looking at the flywheels, it looked like one had an extra hole drilled next to the 6 the bolt to the crankshaft... I'll try to take some pictures and post them

Ayuh,... it's for an optional roll pin locator pin,...

Both motors use the same flywheel, both motors are considered Internally balanced,...

The 3.0l uses a harmonic balancer, but the same flywheel,...

Ok, so I shouldn't worry? It runs fine, just shakes around at lower rpms....

ill go through the whole motor when I get back from vacation. I just ran it for 12 hours this week, one day was 6 hours straight of start/stop tubing and it performed well.

I am having trouble getting the fuel pump to work consistently though, so I had to switch to an electrical one on the water. maybe thats part of why it shakes? I'll play around
