2+2 idle question

Hey guys. Mine is a '99 125 Merc. 4 cyl.<br />I know that these motors idle on 2 cylinders, but I was wondering while they are idling, what lubricates the other two? Is it still getting fuel with the oil mixture, is it getting oil only and just not sparking? If anyone can explain this to me I would appreciate it. And also it went to 5200 rpm's yesterday, is this too high? Thanks guys

Yes. The mixture is just so lean that it won't fire.<br /><br />5200 revs is just fine. The recommended is 4750 to 5250.<br /><br />Chris.........

So there is a bunch of unburned fuel if I idle a lot. That sucks!
