The studs that I bought at Lowe's and cut the head off worked slick as can be.

Curious what these studs are for? Alignment only right?

The studs are carage bolts that are the same thread and size as the manifold bolts but are 2 inches longer. I cut the heads off them. When taking off the manifold I take out the two furthest on each side. I take the headless bolts and screw them in finger tight. Then I remove all the other bolts and the weight of the manifold rests on the two headless bolts. Just grab the manifold and slide it off the Headless bolts. Once the manifold is out you unscrew the headless bolts and repeat for other side.

What will be great is during reassembly the two headless bolts will hold my gasket perfectly in place as I bolt everything up.

Delayed on getting the boat back together as hurricane Sandy has added a few things to my " To Do" list. I will finish my list today and will start helping my friends and neighbors with theirs.
