Hi all, just joined and I already have a question.

I have a 1996 Sea Ray 175 Bow Rider, 3rd year of ownership.

I noticed my port side rub rail is working loose in a couple of places. Looks like the screws have worked loose. Looks like I have to slide the "bumper" part out of the rail to secure the loose screws.

Any tricks to slide that thing apart? I see where the cover is on the stern and lossened the screws and removed the cover. Looks like kind of a tricky slide job.

Any hints,

If it is the same basic bumper rail that I am thinking of, you should be able to gently pry the rubber section out for a foot or so on each side of the screw, which would give you enough room to get a driver in behind the rail to re-secure the screw/s. You should then be able press the rubber back into the rail??hope that makes sense and or helps.
