Hi,

I've got a '89 Envinrude SPL 88. I'm getting ready to start the engine for the first time since last spring (long story). I did not winterize at all. No fogging, no treatment to two full tanks of gas, and battery was in all the boat connected since then.

Where would you begin? Is the gas still usable if treated? The cylinders are the most important to me, since I could get new gas and battery.

Thanks in advance.

Run the gas in the lawn mower and add a little at a time to your car/truck. Add fresh gas, charge the battery, change the lower unit lub and fire it off. I doubt there's been any damage to the cylinders. If you are in the upper U.S. where things freeze, I'd be more concerned about water in the lower unit that froze and cracked the lower unit. Always change that before storage.
