Just purchased our first boat which is a 1999 Suntracker Party Deck 21. I am unfamiliar with the switches on the dash and would like to know if anyone could tell me what each of those does for this particular boat? I know the left is for the lights and the right is for the horn but everything else in between has me confused.

Also, after replacing the battery from being stuck on the water I have tried to start the boat and cant get the bendix to rise. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I am testing 15 volts at the solenoid but as soon as I turn the key it drops to .3 or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're on your own regarding the switches - other than one of them. That light switch usually has 3 positions, and if you aren't careful, it's very easy to leave the anchor light on, which will completely drain your battery. On that switch, the center is usually the "off" position.

On your other deal, it sounds like you have a loose or dirty connection. That will often be the case when it will register voltage, but quit completely under load.

Are your switches labeled? Generally you'll have one for the NAV lights, and one for the ANCHOR LIGHT. You'll usually have one for the Blower, and one for the Bilge Pump. After that, I have an accessories switch and the horn.

southkogs I believe they were originally labeled but have faded out pretty good now and cant see what they once were. Is that the order in which yours go from right to left? That seems like it would be correct but what I cant understand is why the radio is not hooked up to the accessory as it has power unless it is turned off. Thanks for your all's help. I do have the 3 way light switch that you mentioned ahicks.

If you are talking a pontoon with an outboard motor, you will not have a blower switch. My pontoon has Nav Lights (3 way), Dock lights (the bright ones in front) deck lights (interior lighting) an accessories switch (operates the radio power and 12v power supply) and a horn

Not many 'toons are equipped with a bilge pump or blower.

 I did read that it was a 'toon ... probably no bilge pump or blower.

And no, that's not a particular order. I was just tossing out a general list of what might be there. On mine from left to right is Accessory / Blower / Bilge Pump / NAV lights / Anchor Light / Horn . Wahlejim's rig is probably closer to yours than mine.

I've seen some stereos rigged to the accessory switch. Mine is not, but it's got it's own power switch and fuse.

Mine is a deck boat not a pontoon therefore i would have the bilge pump correct? I also have a live well that one switch runs but I can’t remember which one as ive only had on water twice and once not fishing.
