New poster just joined, looking to purchase a boat to travel in the Gulf of Mexico, will be moving back to Florida soon. And am looking at 26-29 footers, weekend cuddy, mainly traveling around Florida, down to the Keys and such forth. Maybe over to the Bahamas. that would be pushing it though. Navigation and Seamanship, I got Covered. A few of the boat I like is this 1999 Regal Commodore 258, it use to have dual 3.0 ltr volvos, and it was repowered with dual 4.3 ltrs volvos. I know having more is better, and I grew up, under the emphisis Fiberglass boats were made to last a lifetime. As long as they were taking car of. But back to my point would this be a worthy weekend traveler for me and the wife, and mabye the kids? it has a wet head, and the boat is in pretty good condition, Waiting on a marine inspection. 8153120_20211207162339563_1_LARGE.jpg8153120_20211207162342590_1_LARGE.jpg

Welcome!!! Regal is an extremely well made boat.I have had 2 and currently have the larger ,older version of yours.Condition report and price play a big part in a decision.Great boat for 2 but a squeeze with kids and if anyone tells you differently, that simply means hey are giving you an opinion and not a fact from having done overnighters on a boat. .The aft cabin is a very big plus.Def not the right size boat to travel to Bahamas though.Any specific questions, now is the time to ask and post back what you decide to do.Charlie
