Rodbolt I hope you can help. I have recently experienced a problem with tilting my motor as it is binding on one side of the brackets when they come together when tilting/trimining. The brackets I am refering too are the transom brackets that hold the engine on the boat and the bracket that is attached to the motor. The bracket on the motor has a finger sized extension that I believe is a guide and when tilting the motor down the "finger guide" on one side binds with the bracket on the transom. I am guessing that maybe a washer/spacer at the pivot point has gone bad but before I tear into it I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

Thanks.

hayzues H crist dude.
I dont even get to close the doors until after 5 PM AND its the week before the 4th when all the nuts decide to catch up on maint that should have been done in september.
anyway without a picture or some part number references I havent a clue what your talking about. if its simply the wear pads sliding on the trim pins and groaning simply apply a dab of waterproof grease to the pins and pads about every 30 days, kinda like the maint schedule says, and be happy.
