1999 mercury 135hp outboard. Did these pieces shoot out of exhaust.

Started motor first time and when I looked on ground under exhaust these were lying on the ground. They feel like ceramic. Did not hear any unusual noise when it started. Put in forward and prop worked okay.

Lets hope that they did not come from the engine. I know of no place in the engine that would use something like those.
