I have a 1999 Marine power 350 (not fuel injected) that started smoking and smelling like fuel recently at a cold start up. It doesn't start hard or anything but acts like it loads up until I blow it out. It does not do it after its been started and warmed up for the day on the water. I was wondering what to look at or if there was a carb adjustment?

Thanks,

I just noticed the flame arrestor has a oil coating all over it. I'm sure it is having trouble getting air. I just cleaned it again. Is it normal to get some oil to pass thru the breather hoses from the valve covers? Is it also possible this could cause the problem I'm having?

Ayuh,.... Normal blow-by is normal,.... most flame arresters have a coatin' of oil,...

I doubt it's the problem,...

I don't do Holley carbs, but is the choke pullin' off,..??
Any leaks, internally,..??
Maybe a Rebuild is in order,...
