1999 Johnson 9.9 carb?

I just bought a 1999 Johnson 9.9hp I'm looking for a carb cause the one I got didn't have one. From all the pictures I see the only things that hook to them are the choke knob and fuel line from the fuel pump. If that is the case how is fuel regulated to the engine the throttle only hooks to the stator to advance the timing it looks like. I'm not to advanced in outboards so looking for some help

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up the parts diagrams of your mtr. You'll see what's missing.
