Hi all,
Have a 1999 Honda BF115 BZBD-1000320 with an intermittent long alarm. No MIL light or alternator light on. Shorted the harness to see if any codes come up but get nothing. Swapped the pins on the battery and MIL lights to verify it works and it does. Motor starts and runs great. Alternator puts out good voltage. Battery is brand new. New power and ground cables. Oil pressure switch tests good. ECT tested good. Running out of ideas of what it could be. Heard it could be the trim switch with the motor tilted past 20 degrees (boat is low to the ground and can’t trim down any further but haven’t checked that yet). Cleaned the fuel system, hooked up to remote tank with fresh high test gas. Oil and filter changed and at correct level. New HP fuel pump and spark plugs. Does anyone have any idea what could cause an alarm with no codes or lights on?
