I have a 50 hp mercury, I can run it fine at 2800 rpm runs turns all day When I accelerate to 3300 rpm the motor bogs sputter..sputter..sputter.........stall. Then it starts up every time fine zero problem. then I accelerate again and went full speed stall near immediately. Restart, then at 3700 rpm between sputters I turned sharply either direction and it stalls immediately. Restart, 2800 rpm I drove it in without interruption. Can anyone offer a suggestion?
Thank you

My guess is you don't have enough fuel getting to the carbs.

Check entire fuel system for leaks / blockages including the fuel pick-up inside the tank. To confirm no leakages fit a piece of clear plastic tube between filter and carb and look for air bubbles.

If everything is nice and clean and no air bubbles, then the problem is likely to be either the fuel pump which can be rebuilt fairly easily, or the primer bulb which can be replaced.

I'll go that too. The bowl is not filling properly with fuel and when you turn to the side centrifugal force pushes the fuel away from the pickup tube.

Before you had this problem what was your WOT rpm? I ask because you mention numbers in the 3000 range but nothing higher. That answer may help with something else related to your problem

Ok thank you!! I will look more closely at the fuel lines, The fuel gauge is also not working properly, once in a while it will jolt then go back to empty, As for the RPM range it will accelerate to 5000 rpm but the problem is consistent and the motor stalls.

Open wire or wiper inside the tank where the sending unit is located, Got to be careful in replacing as the resistance of that wire that broke has to match the gauge requirement for you to get accurate readings. I think the range of readings is from 35 to 350 ohms, forgot which is full.

5000 is ok. May be a tad low indicating something can/may need to be improved. 2 strokers like to run at the top of the recommended range.
