Hello, i recently purchused a 15 hp mercury tiller outboard. I took it out for the first time and I broke down due to too mach gas filling the carb. I took the carb apart and found my float craked, and filled with gasoline, so i drained the float, and sealed it with jb weld. I tested it today and it did the same thing again. If i take off the gas line, the motor runs fine until the gas runs out of the carb, but as soon as i plug the line back in it stalls. Before, the the motor ran really solid (idled great, shifted smooth, etc.). does anyone know what else could be cuasing the problem other then the float? all the gaskets are fine so thats not the problem. has anyone ever had the same scenario? any replys would be greatly appreciated.
