1998 Mercruiser 4.3 Wont start

Hi everyone. Wondering if someone could give me some advice on what could be wrong here. Boat will not start but will run if I pour gas in the carb. Here's what I've checked so far. I'm using an auxiliary tank. Getting fuel up to the carb(I removed steel line going on to carb and checked the filter there as well.). New starter installed. Gauge on dash shows good oil pressure when cranking. Tried actuation on throttle while cranking but no go. Thanks in advance for your help. I'm probably overlooking something easy but for now I'm at a loss. Lol

If this means the carb is pumped and no fuel comes squirts down the throat of the carb, then the carb is clogged up and needs rebuilding

Stuck float/needle?

Try lightly rapping on the carb with a screwdriver handle while cranking engine
