I have been searching the threads and can't find the answer. What is the proper procedure for cleaning out the old TT oil and replaceing it with new oil, then bleeding the system? The manual I have isn't clear and I don't know what screws are for what. also what is the correct oil for the TT.
Thanks for your help.

Why do you want to change the fluid? No where in the manual is there a replacement interval.

Per the manual:

Look at the color. If clear use QK/Merc PTT fluid. If red use ATF.

Tilt the engine up to the full up position.
Screw on the rear of the pump, about the size of a quarter (on mine) is the fill port. Full is even with the threads on the bottom of the fill port.
Running the engine up and down will vent air trapped if any.

If you feel you must drain look for a drain screw on the bottom of the housing. If you see none, stick a suction hose in the fill hole and suck out what you can. May take several cycles to get it all changed out.

Texasmark, The reason for changing the fluid is that I think it is a mix of oil and ATF and also the Fill/Vent screw was not with the motor so I don't know if any water is in the system. When I tried to put the engine up or down there was very little travel making me believe that air is present.

The system has 3 cylinders with the motor on the right cylinder. The fill/vent is on the side of the right cyl and there is another plastic plug on the left cyl. I cant find any place that could be used as a reservoir and the Clymer manual doesn't have a clear picture of the overall setup.

I will try to find a way to drain it so that I can see what is in it. Thanks for your quick reply.
