Ok, full disclosure, I know I messed up somewhere. Last fall as I was winterizing my boat I didn't realize that I had the kill switch on, and it wouldn't start, so I ended up draining the battery attempting to crank it. While I was doing that I started getting the oil alarm (continuos rapid beeping). I did my research over the winter, came up with a plan of attack, started by checking the onboard oil tank float switch, tested good, then swapped the green lead off the #2 coil to the #6 coil, then tested the oil pump motion sensor and got a continuous 5.3v. Figured that must be the problem since I wasn't getting that the once every two revolutions that I should have got. So, ordered the replacement, put it all together, still getting the alarm. Am I looking at a new oil injection control module? Please tell me there's something painfully obvious that I'm missing. The engine is also running like crap. Doesn't idle well at all, must keep it on fast idle to keep running. Also plenty of blue smoke, and the oil line that runs from the pump to the high pressure pump reservoir is constantly 3/4 full with just an air bubble at the top by the pump discharge. I also read somewhere about a plastic gear on the oil pump that may be stripped but I can't find it on any drawings. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
