Been trying to sort out a crank no start issue on my 1998 Pursuit 2260 w/ Volvo 4.3 for a few months. It will crank when I turn the key but I am getting no spark and no fuel pressure. I opened the gauge console today and saw there are no wires going to the kill switch. There is an orange/white wire in the vicinity of it, but it is not connected to anything. I have looked back in the engine compartment to see if I can find that wire going into the engine harness, but no luck. I would think the kill switch not being wired could be a cause of my crank no start problem. Any ideas if this wire is used? I would like to get the kill switch wired and functioning properly but I have been unsuccessful in finding a wiring diagram on how it is supposed to be wired. Thank you!kill switch.jpg

Kill switch is placed inline with the purple wire from the key. It works like a light switch, it's connected all the time until pulled (switched off) breaking the connection.

In this pic the kill switch is part of the throttle, note the connection to purple wire

Don't know what the Org/Wht wire was to go to but probably an option that was not installed

Awesome! So looking at mine, it looks like someone put the 2 purple wires together, thus bypassing the kill switch.
