1998 fast strike 115 hard to start but runs great

i am having alot trouble cold starting my 1998 fast strike 115, but once she starts she runs great all day long and fires up first time everytime after the initial cold start up- which could take a dozen or more turns. anybody have any ideas? i know she is cold natured but its getting worse on the first start of the day and im getting a little worried
