Hi everyone!

I've been kicking myself over this engine for a while now. After changing the power pack I get a nice, clear spark on one plug and a very weak hardly visible spark on the other. If I switch the orange/green and orange/blue cables to the coil around the spark switches as well. The power pack is new. Yellow cables from stator are all off, kill wire is off. Stator and trigger ring are both visually okai, cables looks fine and tests fine.

Should I simply change the stator ring or could there be anything else?

Not real familiar with your engine but if it has coils on it then replace the coil that you know is bad

Thanks, but it is a single coil powering both plugs. Two cables connect from power pack to the coil, one for each cylinder. If I switch them around the sparks moves with the signal cable. Also the Power Pack is brand new so unless I'm the unluckiest man alive it should be good:)

It is possible to get a bad powerpack. There is a way to test it but you need a DVA meter. There are threads on it if you do a search at the top of the page. Or if you bought it from a dealer have them test it.
