Ok, I have two DT 150's on my boat and one of them runs excellent, the other one.... not so much. Yesterday it started missing really bad, and wouldnt get about 1600 RPM. I have had this problem before and a mechanic charged me 700 bucks to "tune it up". I thought this fixed the problem, but it returned yesterday. Now I am more inclined to believe that its a trigger of some sensor. The problem is that I am on a job and the boat is in the water, the design of the boat gives me good access to the water but not as good as if it were out of the water. Also, the boat eventually got to the point where it wouldnt crank, the plugs looked HORRIBLE (black, gunked up and raw oil on them) I cleaned them up and it ran again, but was still missing. I dont have to many tools with me so does anyone have advice as to how I can get this motor back online? I read something last night in my research that the low oil reset (or something like that) is a common problem that can be bypassed by simply unplugging the wires. I will try this in a few minutes. Any other tips like this would be excellent!
