I have a 1998 Optimax 150-- the motor Ser# is a 1998, but i think the powerhead was replaced, since that has a 1999 date on it. I'm having occasional prob's with the engine stalling at idle speeds while trolling-- the idle seems a bit rough. [Sometimes-- infrequently-- when the engine's sat for an hour or so and i go to restart, it smokes quite a bit, like the injectors kept running after the engine was off and it has to burn that off-- might be unrelated, but thougth I'd mention it].
The motor starts fine and runs good-- but it was suggested to me that one of the Throttle position sensors (it has two) may need replacing. It looks like both have to be replaced if you're doing either. It seems like this replacement ought to be moron-proof (a requirement for me to do it). Is it a simple matter of replacing it, or are there adjustments that have to be made? Can anyone tell me the part # so i can price replacement TPS for this engine?
