I recently re-powered my 3.0L GS with a long block, and all went well until I forgot to put lock tight on the flywheel studs. Needless to say the flywheel came loose and now I have my engine on my garage floor once again. Is there a proper way to install the studs into the crank other than the two nut locked together method? Also has anyone had any luck or suggestions on just going with a bolt instead of the stud to attach the flywheel and drive coupler? Any suggestions would be great....

They sell a stud install/ remove tool.
The double nut system works great, always will.
Locktite and I think the nuts should be the nylock type.

So you think that stainless steel nylock nuts would work just as well as the flange nuts from volvo?
