1997 Volvo Penta 3.0GS Thermostat / Impeller replacement

Hello,

Couple Questions

1. How Do I get the thermostat out? See Picture



2. I also want to replace the impeller and have it apart is the impeller just press fitted in? How do i get it out?

Remove the rubber oring that holds it up there.
Then get a service manual.

Thanks for replying. I ordered the manual and am waiting for the USPS to deliver.

What about the Impeller in Water Pump is that just pres fitted in ?

What about the Impeller in Water Pump is that just pres fitted in ?
The impeller is just pressed in. Usually I use some needle-nose pliers and gently pull up/out on the individual splines. Just work it out a little bit at a time. Also, make sure to note the direction the splines are bent, as the new one needs to go in the same direction.
