Thanks to all who may reply. I just bought a 1997 Glastron with 3.0 VolvoSX. Starts fine and idles at just under 1000 rpm. Trouble is when taking off, takes forever to get on plane--no whole shot. Reaches about 3000 to 3500 rpm at 25mph. What's wild is that while cruising and hands off the throttle , all off a sudden there is a sudden burst of accelleration and rpm for a moment then back down. I have checked compression, spark on plugs/wires all ok. Any help would be great. I have also throttled under water hose and easily reaches peak rpm while sitting.
