1997 60hp ELHPTO serial # OG464110 doesn't get run much, maybe a couple times a year. It starts well, idles fine, but if you start off to fast, it bogs down, then takes off after a second or two. Guessing it's a carb/fuel issue. I do add a can of Sea Foam in each tank of gas, should I try a more concentrated mix? Thanks for the help

I was going to recommend the SF but you are already there. I think your quantity is ok. Might back your low speed jets out slightly....like the width of a screw driver blade CCW, at a time, and see if that helps. Low speed jets do affect hole shot.

Does it do it every time you punch out or just first thing on the outing? These Merc triples are cold natured initially, especially when sitting up like you said. Mine got used about as much as yours so I had a similar problem.

I had a 90 triple that stumbled on the first hole of the day. After that no problems the rest of the day. I had 4 props for it and found that the prop with the most pitch made it the worst. Course more pitch means more load on the engine means need more fuel means open the jets more to give it more fuel.

It does seem more pronounced at the first start up, Its been doing it for some years, hasn't got any worse, just thought it might be a simple fix. I'll try the low speed adjustment screw next time out. Thanks
