Hello. I am new to this site and will be visiting alot. I have just picked up a 1997 Mariner 3.3 and it runs fine. I have been told that regular maintainance should include changing the impellar (waterpump) every other year. I do all of my own regular maintainance on both my motors (2005 40 hp 4 stroke outboard) The impellar seems to be working fine and pee's out a steady stream of water when it is running. Has anyone had any experiance doing this? Reading a bit on the net and have heard that there are some issues getting the whole thing back together. My model has the neutral and forward lever. Should I change/check the impellar even if it is working fine? I have all the parts diagrams for this motor so finding parts wont be an issue,
Thanks in advance
