1997 johnson ficht 150hp loss of rpms

I have a 1997 johnson ficht 150hp that losses rpsm after it is warmed up. When I first start it up cold and run it I can get 6000rpms but after running about 15minutes or so I lose rpms and it seems to miss some. Any suggestions.

when the last time you changed spark plugs? did you have the spark plugs indexed ?this is the easy stuff to check to do much more you need a lap top cable and diag software to check the injector voltage dont forget to check compreshion first

That motor was set up for a 5500 rpm max. You might even find a few more mph with a larger pitch prop since you are way past the powerband running it at 6K.<br /><br />Like the previous post, check the plugs first and gap them to .028".<br /><br />The latest Bass and Walleye Boats has an article on how to service your FICHT and tells about different plugs and how to index them.
