1997 Johnson 15hp Charging System?

I just bought this outboard and was wondering how to see if it had a charging system. It is a 1997 Johnson J15rleuc two stroke outboard. Thanks.

electric start does have charging system, just enough to maintain the starting battery. rope start does not have charging system.
