My 1997 Force has been sitting for about two months since I had it on the river last and it ran fine and everything preformed as it should. A few weeks I had it running but I had to pull start it because the battery was dead. Today the battery was dead again so I got it running by pull starting it again. After running it for awhile I shut it off and restarted it a few times. Everything worked as it should. I left the boat off awhile and apparently the battery didn't hold its charge because it would barely tun the engine over. I replaced the battery with a brand new one. I expected the boat to fire right up as it always has in the passed. What should I do? I checked the fuel pump for debris and I was clean. I check the plugs and the were ok. I check all of the fuses on the whole boat now of which are blown.

I don't think so. Im not sure who to test if I am by myself. My arms aren't long enough to turn the key and mess with my the motor at the same time.

I've checked and cleaned the plugs, switched the CDI with a spare, sprayed some starting fluid in the carbs, and I've dropped the bowls on the carbs to see if the floats were sticking.

Do a compression test.
Check all cable connections. The ground on the motor too.
Any lumps or bad connections in the cable?

Test for TDC see the top posts in this forum.

Why do I need to find TDC? Do you think my timing changed? I tried to start it this morning and had no luck.

The top number worries me a bit. If I'm not mistaken all cylinders must be within 10% and these numbers are within the specification. I have a spare stator I'm installing now.

Nice! They big guy was looking out for ya! I had the same issue with my boat the 1st year I got it - that stator blew out for no apparent reason. It was a good feeling when she fired up.
